Executive Interim COVID-
19 Rules for
the Toronto Outdoor Club
- You
must meet the following four
conditions to
participate in any TOC events.
Within the
14 days preceding the event:
- You have
not travelled outside of Ontario;
- You don’t
have any COVID-19, cold, or flu
symptoms;
- You have not knowingly been in
contact with
a confirmed COVID-19 case;
- You
have taken
and passed the Ontario COVID-19 self-
assessment on-
line questionnaire.
- You will
bring a cloth mask/face covering,
which you
will wear during the event meet-
up, plus any
time during the event when the 2m
social
distancing is not possible.
- You will comply
with any other rules as detailed
on the TOC Rules Amendments
- You
will comply with any additional
rules set by
the organizer of the event for
which you have
registered, which could be more
strict than the
ones detailed above.
NOTES
- These
rules are in effect immediately
and until
further notice.

Your
event coordinator has been
instructed to remove
your event registration without
further notice
if you do not take this step
during your
registration. - Your coordinator
may also
remove you from the event (even
after it has
started) if you fail to comply
with the rules,
and report you back to the TOC
Executive.
- If you cannot or do not wish
to follow
these temporary rules, please wait
to sign up
for any TOC events until the
interim rules are
lifted.

EVENT DETAILS
So, this is my first time leading this
particular route with the TOC. However, I've led
it once with my friends.
Please bring a lunch and at
least 1-2 Litres
of water. We will stop for lunch about halfway
through the hike.

Terrain: Either wide gravel paths or
boardwalks

Highlights: Walking around a beautiful lake

Event Directions: | | Approx address is: 673178 Hurontario Street,
Orangeville - 43°56'18.2"N 80°05'05.3"W
Please note that my event directions are
from
SHEPPARD WEST STATION. To change the
map to options that better suit you, please
click
"MORE OPTIONS" link the
'Driving Directions' map (below) and then you
can replace your
own address into the search.
- Leaving Sheppard West - take the Allen Road
south to the 401.
- Travel west along Highway 401 to Highway
410 (15 KM)
- Merge with Highway 410 and follow it
North
for
approx. 48 km (NOTE: HWY 410 will
eventually
turn
into HWY 10)
- Once past Orangeville, turn right (EAST) onto
Hockley Valley Road (RR 7) for 1 KM
- Go straight onto 5 Sideroad and take the first
right at the top of the hill onto Hurontario
Street (SOUTH).
- Follow Hurontario Street for 1 KM until the
end and turn left into the parking lot towards the
end of the road.

There's a Tim Hortons in Orangeville located
at the corner of Hwy 10 & 5th Avenue
