NOTES Thank you for your
understanding and your cooperation as we
keep
each other safe during the pandemic.
EVENT DETAILS I've randomly picked this hike out of my personal hiking database for your morning. Distance is about 8.5 KM and will go
between High Park Subway Station to
Jane
Station.
The hike will be on a combination of paved paths and sidewalks. In terms of hills, there will be two small climbs and then one large climb, combined with stairs towards the end of the route. There is one washroom open near the start of the hike, however the others along the route are closed this time of the year. I usually carry a pair of icers with me
from
the first snowfall of the year until the
end of
April, so I recommend having a pair in
your pack
to deal with any potential ice. PLEASE NOTE THAT LINE 1 IS CLOSED BETWEEN SHEPPARD-YONGE & ST CLAIR THIS WEEKEND | |||||||
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | We'll meet outside the Quebec Avenue exit of High Park Station. High Park Station is located on Line 2, Bloor-Danforth, 1 stop west of Keele & 2 stops east of Jane. If its cold or wet, I'll just be inside the station doors. For those driving, Quebec Avenue is located one block west of High Park Avenue, north of Bloor. In terms of parking, there is free street parking in the neighborhood north of the station, but please read the signs carefully as the parking rules rotate on the two sides of the street based on what day of the month it is.
