EVENT DETAILS

So, I've randomly picked this hike out of my hiking database

We'll start at Dundas West Subway Station and we'll head to Runnymede Station for a 7.5 KM route.
Interesting spots include

  1. 'The West Toronto Railpath'
  2. 'The neighbourhood of Roncesvalles'
  3. 'High Park'
  4. 'Rennie Park'

This hike will have a combination of park paths and neighborhood sidewalks and some wide gravel paths.

In terms of hills, there's two. A long less steep climb up Ellis Drive and a shorter much steeper climb up Runnymede. Also, will have a long stair climb right near the beginning of the hike.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom about 45 minutes into the hike.

We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.

If driving, the station entrance is located on the North-West side of Bloor/Dundas (on Dundas).
There's a parking lot located one block west of Dundas, just north of Bloor on Dorval Road.
