Directive From The TOC
Executive Interim COVID-19 Rules for
the Toronto Outdoor Club NOTES Thank you for your
understanding and your cooperation as we keep
each other safe during the pandemic. EVENT DETAILS So, I've randomly picked this hike out of my hiking database We'll start at Dundas West Subway Station
and we'll head to Runnymede Station for a 7.5 KM
route.
This hike will have a combination of park paths and neighborhood sidewalks and some wide gravel paths. In terms of hills, there's two. A long less steep climb up Ellis Drive and a shorter much steeper climb up Runnymede. Also, will have a long stair climb right near the beginning of the hike. I'll attempt to stop for a washroom about 45 minutes into the hike. We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h I usually carry a pair of icers with me from
the first snowfall of the year until the end of
April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack
to deal with any potential ice. | |||||||
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | We'll meet outside the Entrance to Dundas West Subway station on the Bloor Line, which is located 6 stations west of St. George Station & 8 east of Kipling Station. If raining or cold, I'll be just inside the station doors. If driving, the station entrance is located
on
the North-West side of Bloor/Dundas (on
Dundas).
