NOTES Thank you for
your
understanding and your cooperation
as we keep
each other safe during the
pandemic. EVENT DETAILS So, the random hike generator has picked a north end hike for your Sunday morning. The 12 KM hike will both start and finish at Sheppard-Yonge Station. Today's hike will be on a combination of neighborhood sidewalks, single track trails, multi-use trails and gravel paths. Actually a fairly challenging route with about 6 hills or so, some of which are fairly steep. We'll hit a washroom stop at the Earl Bales Community Centre about 45 minutes into the hike. I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice. | |||||||
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | We'll meet on the north east side of Yonge & Sheppard, which is located just outside Sheppard-Yonge Station. To access the meet point from the subway, please exit following the signs for the Sheppard Centre. Upon exiting the doorway, turn right and climb the stairs out to the north east corner. For those of you driving, there's a Green P parking lot located just one block north of Sheppard and then west of Yonge Street. Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt, just beside the CIBC - should it be wet or cold, I'll just be inside the station doors. Map
