Interim COVID-19 Rules for the Toronto Outdoor Club

You must meet the following four conditions to participate in any TOC events.
Within the 14 days preceding the event:

You have not travelled outside of Ontario;
You don’t have any COVID-19, cold, or flu symptoms;
You have not knowingly been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case;
You have taken and passed the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment on- line questionnaire.

You will bring a cloth mask/face covering, which you will wear during the event meet-up, plus any time during the event when the 2m social distancing is not possible.

You will comply with any other rules as detailed on the TOC Rules Amendments

You will comply with any additional rules set by the organizer of the event for which you have registered, which could be more strict than the ones detailed above.

These rules are in effect immediately and until further notice.

YOU MUST CONFIRM IN THE "NOTES" SECTION DURING SIGN UP THAT YOU MEET ALL THE CONDITIONS LISTED IN THIS DIRECTIVE AND YOU WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE INTERIM RULES.
Your event coordinator has been instructed to remove your event registration without further notice if you do not take this step during your registration.

Your coordinator may also remove you from the event (even after it has started) if you fail to comply with the rules, and report you back to the TOC Executive.

If you cannot or do not wish to follow these temporary rules, please wait to sign up for any TOC events until the interim rules are lifted.

EVENT DETAILS

So, trying out a slightly more urban hike than usual today.

Today's 7 KM hike will be a loop, both starting and finishing at St. Clair West Station.
On today's route, we'll pass the famous Casa Loma, walk past an old streetcar storage yard and pass through an alley with several garages covered with art.

The majority of this hike will be on sidewalks or roads, however in the first & last KM, we'll be walking on wide gravel / muddy trails.

In terms of hills, there will be at least 3, including the stairs up to Casa Loma.

We'll do a washroom stop at the Wychwood Barns, about 45 minutes into the hike, where they also have a small farmers market on Saturdays.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LINE 1 IS CLOSED BETWEEN SHEPPARD-YONGE & BLOOR THIS WEEKEND

St Clair West Station is located on line 1 Yonge/Spadina. We'll meet outside the entrance on the north side of St. Clair avenue, which is on the side with the Loblaws.

For those of you driving, the subway entrance is located on St. Clair, just east of Bathurst on the north side. In terms of parking, the Loblaws beside the station has free parking.
