Tubing and Intro to Snow Shoeing (1/27/2008)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

Itinerary:

Well all head up to Barrie for some tubing and then snowshoeing!.

We'll pick up our lift tickets when we arrive and go tubing for 2 hours. No equipment is needed for this portion of the outing. Afterwards we'll take a quick break for lunch and maybe some hot chocolate to warm up. We'll then head out the snow shoe trails in the afternoon. You can rent equipment if you need snow shoes at Snow Valley and they have several trails ranging from easy to difficult. It will be a great opportunity for people to try out snowshoeing for the first time.

If we can get 20 or more people together, confirmed, we can get the group rates that are detailed below.


Required Items to Bring:
Appropriate winter boots! They must have good grip as the surface can get very slippery.
Snowpants, or other waterproof layers.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $43.86 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Friday, May 10, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.
