So, on July 20th, I sprained my left ankle. Its beginning to feel better, but its not 100% yet, so I'm going to do a SLOW easy urban hike today, just to test the waters with it.

Today's D2 urban hike will just be a simple walk along the Finch Hydro Corridor, both starting and finishing at Finch subway station.

Just about the entire hike will be on a paved trail, with a small section through a local neighborhood.

In terms of hills, there are two slight 5 meter climbs, but its hardly noticeable.

So, there won't be any washrooms on the hike, but there is one in the Finch Go Bus Terminal.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Mask / Face Covering
  • Good footwear, running shoes permitted
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • A smile.
  • First aid kit
  • Whistle

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

So, we'll meet outside the Finch Go Bus Terminal on the N.E. corner of Yonge & Bishop/Hendon.

For those traveling from the subway:
    - exit the subway where the ticket booth is on the concourse level,
    - turn right follow the path down past the Tim Hortons,
    - then you can take a right at either the first staircase or the first escalator to get out to the N.E. corner / Finch Go Bus Terminal.
Also, you can just follow the signs for the GO Bus Terminal, whichever is easiest.

For those of you driving, the N.E. corner of Hendon / Bishop is located one traffic light north of Finch.
The entrance to the TTC parking lot is located one further traffic light north on the east side.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt.
