Start the New Year off with a skate by the lake! The Natrel rink at Harbourfront is Canada's largest outdoor artificially cooled rink, so skating will be good whatever the weather. Not a good skater? Don't worry, neither am I! Don't own skates? No problem - rentals are available for $7. Lockers and a change room are also available. Skates can be sharpened for $5. When we're done skating we'll enjoy hot beverages and brunch at Lakeside Eats by the rink.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Skates
  • OR a driver’s license, credit card, passport, birth certificate or citizenship card in order to rent skates
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Dress in layers (it will be colder by the lake, but you'll warm up when skating)
  • Loonies/twoonies(?) for locker rental

  • How to Get There:
Event Directions:By TTC: take the 510 or 509 streetcar (run between Spadina and Union Stations). The rink is south of York Quay Centre.

Parking is available in the area for about $10.
