Itinerary:
It's time for my seemingly annual Hike For Gelato event. This time we will be heading to my favourite gelato place in the city. To get there, we will meet at Jane Station and follow this route:
- Along some side streets to the Humber River
- North along the Humber River Trail
- Head over to the hydro corridor in Marie Baldwin Park
- East along the hydro corridor
- East along some side streets
- End near the intersection of St. Clair Ave W & Lansdowne Ave

PLEASE NOTE: This hike will NOT end near a subway station. You will need to take the 512 St Clair streetcar or the Lansdowne bus to get back on the subway.

After the hike, I will be heading to a nearby gelato place, but this part of the event is optional. There are dozens of flavours to choose from. Being a holiday, I expect there will be a lineup. As long as the weather co- operates there is a nice park next door where we can go to enjoy some more time outdoors with delicious gelato.

Route Rundown:
Total distance: 9.5km
Pace: 4.5 - 5 km/h, fairly leisurely
Expected time: 2 - 2.5 hours + gelato time
Terrain: There are a few ups and downs and one fairly large hill
Trails: A mix of sidewalks, paved trails and gravel trails

We will stop for a washroom break about an hour or so into the hike. There is a public washroom at the park next to the gelato place as well.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 1:30pm. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
