Itinerary:

NOTE: THE CARPOOL LEAVES THE KIPLING STATION SOUTH PARKING LOT @ 9:30 AM

So this is my 2nd time leading this decently challenging hike. I'm rating this as an easier D4, because its decently long, it can be incredibly muddy and there's a couple challenging climbs, but not too crazy.

This is an intermediate hike that will pass three waterfalls; Swayze Falls, Terrence Creek Falls & DeCew Falls. Since it's winter, I strongly recommend bringing a pair of icers / traction devices to help walk across potentially icy sections.

In my past experience, this hike has been very muddy, so towards the end of the hike, it may feel like you're carrying a couple extra pounds on your feet. So I suggest that you bring a change of shoes for the car ride home or a bag to put your shoes in.

On the trail we'll be following part of the Bruce Trail, along with several other trails throughout the valley for an 16.5 KM loop.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice. You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will find a place to stop for lunch, but there will not be any drop offs.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE WRITE IN THE NOTES SECTION, THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!, or else you might be moved to the wait list until this is completed.

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.

Also, if you are choosing to meet at the event, please ensure that you are on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers. I will attempt to take 12-16 people.
