NOTE: PLEASE ADD YOURSELF TO THE WAITLIST. I will add more spots as more drivers sign-up to participate in the carpool for the hike. Waiting list preference will go to carpool drivers and new members (5 or fewer events) first.

We will be hiking the Eldred King Woodlands, which is just a 30-minute drive from Toronto. It is part of the Oak Ridge Moraine with a terrain of rolling hills and sandy/clay trails.

ITINERARY

2:00PM Meet at Don Mills Station Passenger Pick- up
2:07PM Leave (approx. 30 minute drive)
2:40PM Arrive at Eldred King Woodlands entrance (see Google Maps below)
2:45-5:15PM HIKING
5:15-5:35PM Driving to a Peruvian restaurant in Markham (Los Chico Bravos)
5:40-6:30PM Dinner at restaurant
6:30-6:50PM Driving back to Don Mills Station

Start	For those participating in the carpool, we will meet at 2:00pm at Don Mills Station Passenger Pick-up. For those not participating in the carpool, please meet us at the entrance to Eldred King Woodlands (see Google Streetview map below) at 2:45pm. Please arrive on time as we will be leaving at 2:07 PM sharp.
End	This hike will end at the starting location. For those participating in the carpool, we will return to Don Mills Station passenger pick-up after the hike.
Distance	Approx. 12.5 km
Pace	4.5 km/hour (slightly above average pace for fit and younger individuals, above-average pace for others)
Trail Conditions	We will be walking on woodchip, gravel and dirt trails.
Difficulty	This is a D3 hike. WARNING: You are expected to complete the entire 12.5 KM. There are no washrooms on the trail - please use the facilities at Don Mills Station prior to departure.

IMPORTANT: Those participating in the carpool are required to attend both the hike and dinner. For those meeting us directly at the park, the dinner is optional.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM CARPOOL

Exit TTC lot and drive east on Sheppard.

Head north on the 404

Get off the 404 at Aurora Rd (Regional RD 15) (EXIT 45)

Go East on Aurora Rd to McCowan Rd. NOTE: It is a flashing yellow light, not a traffic light at McCowan Rd

Travel North on McCowan Rd, until road turns at Faulkner.
