Itinerary:
It's been a while since I visited a certain pizza joint that I really like, so let's hike there and grab a slice!

We will meet at High Park Station and follow this route:

- south through High Park along Grenadier Pond to the lake
- east along the waterfront to the Exhibition Grounds
- north through some side streets in Liberty Village
- north through Trinity Bellwoods Park
- head to a nearby pizza joint (if you wish)

After the hike, we will head to a pizza place for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizza place features large slices of what I call 2am style pizza. They only serve pepperoni slices, so if you want a different sort of pizza you will have to get a whole pie. PLEASE NOTE: This pizza place is extremely old school and does not accept debit or credit cards. If you plan to get a slice, you will need to bring cash money. We will be ending near College & Bathurst, so you can get the 511 or 506 streetcars to get back to the subway.

Route Rundown:
Distance: About 10km
Pace: About 4.5 - 5 km/h, a fairly leisurely pace
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Mostly paved trails and sidewalks with a few gravel sections
Terrain: A few hills and some stairs in the beginning and a gradual climb in the last few kilometres. Otherwise very flat.

Shockingly, there are no TTC subway closures.

We will take a quick washroom break about 20-30 minutes into the hike. There are not any other facilities along the route that I know of, so after ths break you will have to wait until the end.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
