Itinerary:

It's been a while since I've explored the trails at Rouge Park. We'll hike a few different trails that will take in a few different sections, hopefully we can spot some rainbow trout in the Rouge River looking to spawn. This is a rain or shine hike, it is spring so please be prepared to hike in the rain.

This will be a moderately paced hike (3.5- 4km/h) but will be traversing some hilly sections with some steep climbs. We'll be waiting for everybody and stop for some lunch and snacks along the way.

One of the best quality of Rouge National Park is that it can be accessed by public transit with the 85B bus from Don Mills Station and 86A from Kennedy Station. There is a bus stop at Zoo Rd and Meadowvale Rd, I believe the bus ride takes around an hour, please plan accordingly and make sure to arrive before the departure time.

Hikers that will meet at the event either driving themselves or taking transit will be moved to the participant list. I will add more participants when carpool drivers are available.

Drivers can park on Meadowvale Rd (free) or the nearby Zoo parking (paid). The meeting point will be at the Rouge Valley Conservation Station.

NO SHOWS: Anyone dropping out within 24 hours of the start of the event will receive an AUTOMATIC NO SHOW - no exceptions. Please respect the people on the waiting list and if you can't attend, remove yourself BEFORE the cutoff time to give others time to adjust their lives and join in. Thanks in advance!
