Nokiidaa Trail - Newmarket to Holland Landing 12 km (12/11/2016)

ICERS: we may need icers for this hike if winter hits in the next few days. Be prepared. You should keep icers in your pack during the winter months.

Max participants: about 20, depending on # of drivers, passengers, and those who will meet at event


Members on the waiting list who are willing to drive may get first priority.
Passengers will be added as drivers become available.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!


  • Due to some bridge/road construction above the trail at km 2.5, we may have to detour a bit. This could involve some mud and slopes
  • This hike will be mainly flat
  • The terrain will include paved, gravel and dirt forest paths as well as some boardwalks
  • Our route will be along the Holland River which flows north into Lake Simcoe
  • We will start at George Richardson Park in Newmarket and hike to Holland Landing and back

Carpooling? Please arrive BEFORE the departure time. If you are late, you will miss the carpool, and the hike.

If you choose to meet at the hike start, please arrive BEFORE the start time, we will not wait for late comers.
