D3 Beginner to Intermediate Hike
D4 Intermediate Hike
D5 Advanced Hike

NOTE: THE CARPOOL LEAVES DOWNSVIEW @ 9:30 AM

This is an intermediate hike that involves some hills, uneven terrain and probably some muddy areas, but overall, the hike isn't too challenging, it's just rather long.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but there will not be any drop offs. My master plan for lunch is to stop at Scotsdale Farm.

Total Distance 23 km

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

Exiting Downsview: At the traffic light, turn left onto sheppard avenue & at the 1st traffic light, turn left (south onto Allen Road).

Travel south on Allen Road for 2 KM.

Merge onto the 401 Westbound and follow the 401 Westbound for 31 Km.

Take exit #333 at Winston Churchill Blvd, Regional Road #19 and head north.

Follow Winston Churchill Blvd, Regional Road #19 for 18 km.

There will be a sign that reads King Street Regional Road #9 which goes to the right. Follow the road around the corner for 150 meters.

VERY IMPORTANT: The very next left is your turn. Bricklane Road, which is a No Exit dirt road. There is only a small green road sign, so it is easy to miss the turn. It is to the left the blue "Region Of Peel" sign. IF YOU DRIVE AND GET TO A STOP SIGN, you've gone too far and will need to turn around a come back to Bricklane Road.

It is then about 500 meters on Bricklane Road to the trailhead.
