Itinerary:
Hike For A Slice, Part V, a special Sunday morning edition so we can enjoy lunch (and because this place only serves slices during lunchtime).

The hike will start at Davisville Station. We will hike west along the Beltline Trail until we get to Eglinton West Station. Then we will head south through Cedarvale Park and a few other smaller parks to Spadina & St Clair. We will then turn east and make our way to Rosehill Reservoir (where we may see some TOCers playing soccer) and head north back to Davisville Station.

Following the hike I will take anyone so inclined to a local pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria features square cut Roman style pizzas with a crisp thick crust, including several vegetarian options. This pizzeria is unique in that it sells their pizza by weight, which I understand is traditional for Roman style pizza. This place also serves salads and other Italian food, so if you aren't into pizza you might still want to check it out.

The route is 12km long and we will be hiking at a moderate pace of 4.5-5.0km/h with a few short breaks, so it should take about 3 hours. We will be walking mostly dirt and gravel trails with some sidewalks and paved trails mixed in, so I would suggest a good pair of hiking shoes. The route is fairly flat with some ups and downs throughout and few decent sized hills near the end.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10am. I will turn my phone to silent once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike.

This hike will go forward rain or shine.

See map below for start/end points and the rough hiking route. Click the points on the map for transit information.
