Away From Her is the screenplay adaptation of Alice Munro's short story The Bear Came Over the Mountain, a moving story of a couple coming to grips with the onset of memory loss. Starring Gordon Pinsent and Julie Christie, this film marks the screenwriting and directorial debut of Canadian actress Sarah Polley. It premiered at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival to glowing reviews. Currently in wide release, Rotten Tomatoes rated it "93% Fresh."

This movie is currently playing at 7:00 p.m. at the Varsity Cinemas (if this changes by May 19, I'll let you know!). The plan is to meet upstairs by the escalators infront of the cinema box office at 6:30 p.m. Participants are required to purchase their own tickets to the screening. Afterwards, we will head to a nearby place for food and drinks.
