Itinerary:

Ski to the Hilton Falls. They are supposed to be lovely in the winter. This is a conservation area, so the price is low, the food service is limited, there are hiking & snowshoeing options, it's pretty close to the city, they have 16K of groomed trails + some backcountry options, and we can build a campfire! I'll try to remember the marshmallows. If we have full cars, this could be a ski outing that costs only $10 for those with skis! You have to pack a lunch because they just have coffee and almonds.

Rentals are limited so it might be better to rent at MEC or somewhere in the city. They said that we would likely get rentals if we arrive by 9:30. I will bring my extra skis and 2 pairs of snowshoes. There are no snowshoe rentals there.

Given that there are only 16k of groomed trails, we can be finished relatively early or if all participants are bringing skis or are not skiing, we could have a later car pool departure time of 10 and still be skiing by 11. Alternately, we could all hike in the afternoon or use another conservation area. Please think about these options so we can chat about it when we meet. Feel free to put your preferences in the notes when you sign up.

Note that light snow if forecast for Saturday.

WHEN YOU SIGN UP PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS IN THE NOTES SECTION (Just copy and paste the questions into the notes section)
For drivers, and possible drivers…
1. How many passengers can you take with you, if you take skis and if you don’t take skis? Also, can you take skis on roof racks? Important for people with long skis.
2.If we don't have people that need to get there early to rent, would yo prefer to leave at 10?
For everyone...
2. Are you taking skis up with you? Or will you rent them?
3. If you are taking your skis, how long are they? – Please estimate if you are unsure.

4. If there are enough people with skis, would you prefer to be in a car that leaves later than 9? 5. Did you read the part about needing to bring your own lunch?

Our admission price allows us to use other Halton conservation area parks on the same day so we could try the trails at Crawford Lake or another nearby park. I'll get more info on those options.
