Hike for Teppanyaki - from Lawrence - 10 km (1/25/2015)

Itinerary:

Let's hike to a Japanese restaurant that has Teppanyaki cooking tables. The chef will cook our food on an iron griddle right in front of us.

I have a reservation for 9 people. If there is a large waiting list, I can increase the reservation size.

This D3 hike will be 10 km along a mix of gravel, paved and dirt paths. There will be flat sections, and some hills, and one BIG HILL.

Pace will be about 4.5 km

Anyone who signs up for this hike, must be willing to come to dinner or else you'll be taking a spot from someone else

IMPORTANT: Since I have to reserve seats around the cooking table, sign up for this event ONLY if you are sure you will join us.
Anyone cancelling after the registration cut off will be given a no-show.

This is the route we will take.

  • Start at Lawrence subway station
  • go east thru some parks
  • find our restaurant

  • great idea to keep icers in your pack just in case we encounter icy conditions
  • money for dinner
  • Weather appropriate clothing

We'll meet on the South-East corner of Yonge St and Lawrence Ave, near the 'Locke' branch of the Toronto Public Library across the street from the Lawrence Subway Station Entrance.

Lawrence Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway Line, two stops south of Sheppard and 6 Stations north of Bloor.

Look for me with a GOLDEN whistle on my backpack.

Don't get left behind! Please arrive early, we will start promptly, and I will turn off my cell once we begin hiking.
