Summerhill Loop (~8.5 km) (8/28/2014)

Itinerary:

Nice evening loop starting at Summerhill station. Please be aware there are four inclines on this hike (2 hills, 2 sets of stairs) but we will take a break after each one.

We go at a slow but steady pace (4.5 km/hr).

Route

  1. East from Summerhill station
  2. North through David Balfour Park
  3. Climb Heath St. E stairs
  4. Loop around into Mt. Pleasant cementery & Moore Ravine
  5. Cross Heath St. bridge
  6. South through neighbourhood, across the railroad tracks
  7. East through Chorley Park
  8. Continue past Brickworks
  9. West through David Balfour Park
  10. Climb stairs, end at Summerhill station

    We will meet just outside the Shaftesbury Ave exit.

    Summerhill Station is located on Line 1 (Yonge- University), three stops north of Yonge-Bloor stations.

    Event goes forth rain or shine.

    Please arrive on time. I will turn off my cellphone once the hike begins.
