Itinerary:

I was looking for a new place to urban hike and came across the Finch Hydro Corridor Rec Trail.

We'll hike 16.5 km at a fairly quick 5.2 k/hr pace, which won't be too difficult since the route will be mainly flat, along a paved walkway.

We'll meet at the Finch subway Kiss 'N Ride west side of Yonge, then

walk west for about 8.25 km
arrive at York University Campus
walk east for about 8.25 km
end at Finch subway Kiss 'N Ride

Along the way we'll pass through G. Ross Lord Park which will provide us with some interesting scenery, including the dam and reservoir.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Finch Subway Station is on the Yonge- University subway line. It is the terminal station at the very north end on the Yonge subway line.
We will meet at the Kiss 'N Ride which is on the WEST side of Yonge St.
If you see a whole bunch of GO buses and TTC buses you are on the wrong side of Yonge St.

Look for me with an ORANGE whistle on my backpack.

If you are driving, there is free TTC parking on weekends and statutory holidays.

Enter Finch West Parking Lot from the west side of Yonge Street, just north of Hendon Road; or from the north side of Hendon Road, just west of Yonge Street. Capacity is 1,552 spaces.
