Night Hike: Castle Frank Loop (11 KM) (5/5/2014)

Itinerary:

This is a nice walk through some of Toronto greatest ravines.

Much of the walking will be on paved paths, however there will be occasional dirt and gravel walking, so hiking boots or hiking shoes are recommended.

On this event, there will be 2 hills and 2 flights of stairs to go up.

Start from Castle Frank Subway Station and follow this route

  1. South through Rosedale Valley Road
  2. South through Cabbage Town
  3. East to Riverdale Park
  4. South to the Don Valley Trail
  5. North to Crothers Woods
  6. West to the Moore Ravine
  7. South to Craighleigh Gardens
  8. South through the Rosedale Neighborhood, back to Castle Frank Station.

Distance is approx. 11 km


Required Items to Bring:

Good footwear (Hiking Boots/Shoes Preferred)

Water 1-2 L and snacks

Flashlight or headlight

Castle Frank Subway Station is located on the Bloor Subway Line, two stops east of Yonge Station.

Look for the guy holding a highlighter, marking attendance possibly holding a coffee.
