Itinerary:

Note: I think it will be cool to hike that narrow strip of land under the Skyway. I have never done this before so it will be more like exploring.
You are welcome to join us but please keep in mind that I'll be following google maps - so cut me some slack if we are lost at times :-)

Terrain: Flat, paved surface. Urban landscape, heavy foot traffic and occasional road crossings. Length of the hike is 23 km, average pace is 5 km/h.

Route: Start from Waterfront Hotel in downtown Burlington and follow the trail all the way to the end of Confederation Park in Hamilton. Break for lunch and take the same route back.

This hike is suitable for experienced hikers. Hikers coming on this event should have D3 level experience. This means previous experience of 15 - 20 km hikes and an average pace of 5 km/hr. Just make sure you have been hiking lately. Don't let this be your first hike of the season.

Those willing to drive (mention # of passengers) and regular hikers will be given preference on the waiting list.

Parking: We will meet in the parking lot of Waterfront Hotel. Try to stay away from the hotel entrance. After dropping the passengers, drivers can try the lot south of hotel parking or just go west along Lakeshore Rd. There will be plenty of parking.
