Itinerary:
This is a great time of year for birding on the Toronto Islands. You can expect to see a wide variety of waterfowl that spend a winter here, including buffleheads, goldeneyes, scaups, mergansers, mute swans, and beautiful longtail ducks (seen the the promo photo I took during a TOC trip at this time of year a couple of years ago). I have also seen mink almost every time I've visited the Toronto Islands in the past three years.

NOTE TIME CHANGE:We'll meet at the the Toronto ferry docks at 10:25 a.m.in order to catch the 10:40 a.m. ferry.

After arriving at Ward's Island, we will walk along the north shore of the Toronto Islands towards Centre Island, then take the boardwalk along the south side of Ward's Island.

We'll warm up and grab some food and hot drinks at the lovely Rectory Cafe before heading back to Toronto on the ferry.
