Itinerary:

Take advantage of the long weekend to be outdoors (during the day)! The Wolf Den is a wonderful place to return to after a day out hiking: a fireplace, hot showers, a sauna, fully-equipped kitchen, etc. More information and pictures of the Wolf Den can be found at: www.wolfdenbunkhouse.com.

We will spend our days hiking and engaging in other outdoor activities. Hopefully we will see some wildlife. Algonquin Park is only a few minutes away!

Please note that many of the rooms we have reserved are semi-private i.e., you will be sharing with other TOCers. However, we do have some single rooms with double beds (see note below).

Note, too, that we will be sharing many of the facilities (kitchen, sauna, fireplace, etc.) with other guests. The TOC held an event there in January, and everyone had a great time.


Required Items to Bring:
Hiking boots, clothing for outdoor activities, backpack and water container, food (bring your own lunches & snacks, larger communal meals to be assigned later).
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Bathing suit (for the sauna--this isn't Finland!), personal toiletries, indoor shoes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Go north on Hwy 400; at Barrie, go northeast on Hwy 11; at Huntsville, go east on Hwy 60; you'll see the Wolf Den on the right-hand side of the road just past Oxtongue Lake, but before you reach the Algonquin Park gates.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $134.16 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Friday, May 10, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Notes:

Breakfasts and dinners will be shared communally. Once all attendees have been confirmed, meals and carpools will be organized by email.

If you are a couple and wish a private room with a double bed, there are a few of those available at the Wolf Den. Just let the organizer know so that I can put you in there.


- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
