Itinerary:
The hike begins at the Rosedale Subway Station and ends at the Davisville station. This is another hike which is good for beginners as it is mostly flat. It has with some wet marshy areas and beautiful wide green spaces and the Ravine also has a permanent off-leash area for dogs. Post the Cedarvale Park, we will head towards the Beltline. The Beltline trail was originally constructed as a 1890s commuter steam railway line that circled the City, looping from Union Station up through North Toronto. The rail line was converted to multi-use trail in the end of the last century.

Here is the route we will take:

  • Start at Rosedale station, head west through the Ramsden Park to Avenue Rd and head north.
  • Walk west on the Macpherson Ave to the High Level Pumping Station
  • Enter Southern end of the Cedarvale Ravine
  • Continue northwest to the Winston Churchill Park
  • Further northwest to the Eglington West Station
  • Walk east past the station crossing at Allen Expressway and take the sidewalk on the right
  • Head east on the Beltline
  • Keep following the Beltline southeast to the Davisville Station

Total distance is 11kms. We will maintain a pace of 4-4.5km/hr. Please note the hike will start at 6:30pm sharp. I will switch off my phone at 6:30pm and will not be available over email after 5pm.
