Itinerary:

HOLIDAY HIKE FOR CIDER!

Just in time for the holidays... How about a fun nighttime hike, checking out some Christmas lights and finishing up with some specialty craft cider?!

We'll meet at Eglinton West station, walk through Cedarvale ravine, check out the festive Christmas lights in the Summerhill neighbourhood and then wind down through David Balfour towards the Brickworks and Rosedale neighbourhood. After the hike we'll go for a quick pint of delicious artisan Ontario cider at one of Toronto's top craft beer bars. There will be two different local ciders on tap - what's available will depend on the day and what's inspired the cider makers!

=>>>SAFETY: Please bring icers just in case. We'll be going through ravines where the trail conditions are unpredictable. You can pick up a decent pair at Mountain Equipment or any good sporting good store.

DIFFICULTY RATING: This event is rated D3. We will be hiking together in a group at a pace of 4.5 km an hour. It's no fun trying to run a hike with people racing off ahead out of earshot so please keep this in mind if you are a fast hiker.

DOGS:Dogs are always welcome, although you won't be able to go to the pub. People going to the pub will get priority if there's a waiting list.

NO SHOWS: Anyone dropping out after the registration cutoff will receive an AUTOMATIC NO SHOW - no exceptions.

=>>>Please do not sign up until you are certain you will attend! Last minute dropouts mess around me, anyone on the waiting list and also the pub we're going to as I'm making a reservation. Due to the high turnover on previous events I may give priority to regular D3 hikers with decent attendance records.
