Itinerary:
Let's go for a LEISURELY stroll through Heart Lake Conservation Area and enjoy the rustling of leaves on the woodland trail before the snow falls. We will walk the woodland trails around the Heart Lake keeping a pace of about 4.5 to 5 km/hr. The trails have few hills but is otherwise fairly flat. We'll aim to keep the hike to 2 to 2.5 hrs.

We will meet at a small parking lot on the south side of the Sandalwood Parkway, just west of Heart Lake Road. NOTE: You can only access this parking lot travelling EAST on Sandalwood Parkway.

Note: There won't be a carpool - you'll have to get to Brampton (it's not part of Toronto) and to the meeting point on your own.

The hike will go rain or shine. The trail may be muddy and slick in spots. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for conditions and the weather.

The event organizer may bring a medium sized dog along on the hike. The dogs need to be on the leash while hiking the main trails of the park.

There are no open washroom facilities, and the bushes are all bare. So plan accordingly... just saying..:)
