Easy Hike from North York to Downtown (17 km, 4 km/hr) (9/28/2013)

Itinerary:

This is a beginner D4 urban hike. I would have listed this as a D3 except it's a little long. We will be going at a pace of 4 km/hr and will take regular breaks. This isn't the hike for you if you want to speed ahead.

Route:

  • Head south along the Betty Sutherland Trail
  • Continue through both Havenbrook Park and Moatfield Farm Park
  • Through a business area to York Mills Road
  • South through Bond Park
  • Continue through Ernest Thompson Park
  • Meet up with the Lower Don River Trail
  • Up Milkman's Lane
  • South on Glen Rd. across the bridge to Sherbourne Subway Station

We'll meet just outside Leslie subway station on the south-east corner of Sheppard and Leslie. Leslie subway station is the Sheppard Line.

This hike will go forward rain or shine.

I will turn off my phone once we start the hike and won't reply to emails the morning of the hike.
