Itinerary:
Feel like a day out in the country? Want to learn how maple syrup is made? Care to indulge in a delicious all-maple brunch, then walk it off on the banks of the Upper Thames River? Then join us for a springtime sugar bush adventure!

Our day will begin at McCully's Hill Farm with a tour of the sugar bush and demonstrations of "old time" syrup making in the sugar shack. We will be able to try samples of sweet, chewy maply taffy on snow, and possibly even help collect sap for the next batch of syrup. After working up an appetite in the bush, we will return to the farm for a brunch of pancakes, maple pork sausage and maple-baked beans, all served with McCully's own maple syrup and a nice hot beverage. Afterwards, we will be free to tour McCully's barn and visit the farm animals, which will likely include baby goats, lambs, and bunnies (it's spring, after all!). There may even be a sheep shearing demonstration or other special events -- details will follow closer to the event date. Before we leave, we'll have plenty of time to stop by the farm store and stock up on maple syrup and other sweet maple products.

If the weather is amenable to outdoor activities, we will proceed to the Wildwood Conservation Area for a springtime hike along their 18 km of trails.
