Itinerary:
The McCrae lake wilderness area is situated on the East coast of Georgian Bay, half way between Barrie and Parry Sound. The trail is rocky and hilly with panoramic views from the tops of granite cliffs.

You must be able to hike with your backpack at a constant speed of 4.5 km/hr on a trail, and bushwack at 2.5 km/hr to come to this hike. We will aim to complete the full loop, which is less than 35 kms, over the two days. We will stick together as a group and wait for everyone to regroup at intersections. There will be a common vegetarian dinner and breakfast over the fire.

The pre-meeting for this trip is on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7:30pm at Chalkers Pub at 247 Marlee Ave., North York to discuss car pooling arrangements, route, food planning and equipment. It's better to have some overnight backpacking experience to come to this trip. If you don't have a record of overnight backpacking trips with the TOC please include some details of your experience in the notes when you sign up.

We will need carpool drivers for this trip. Carpool drivers will be given priority from the waiting list.
