Itinerary:

This event is for people who have taken a lesson previously. There will be no lessons held at this session.
Look out for future events with lessons.

Meet at Joe Rockhead's at 7:00 pm to sign waivers, take out rental gear, get changed, and take the belay test. You must pass the test to climb. They will require you to demonstrate that you know how to tie a Figure-8 knot and use a Petzl Grigri. If you do not pass the test, you may still boulder by yourself (as no belaying is required) in their bouldering cave (which is quite excellent).

TOC or the staff of Joe Rockhead's will not re-instruct you on how to belay unless you take another lesson. If you have forgotten, please refresh yourself before attending the event by borrowing a book from the library, looking at a climbing website on the internet or taking another lesson. Joe Rockhead's staff may be able to point out your mistake as least.

Once we have finished with the belay test at around 7:30, we will then pair off and go climbing! If you're late, you may not end up having a partner! So be on time or you just might have to go bouldering.

Note that the majority of the good climbs are 5.6 and up but there are a few easy ones below that to warm up. You'll probably find those ones easy enough to feel confident to try for a 5.6 after.

Stay as long as you like, leave when you have to. Group size is currently restricted as-is to ensure those attending have enough available climbs without waiting the entire night for others to finish.
