Itinerary:

SHORT HILLS + BALLS FALL'S HIKE

Short Hills Provincial Park has a number of terrific trails to hike (15K). After exploring the park we will stop off at Ball's Falls (2K) to view two great waterfalls as well as some groves of old growth trees (maple, hemlock and possibly some rare red mulberry). We will be hiking at moving speed of 4 km/hr with an average dpeed slightly below that. There's an option to stop briefly for some food at a pub in Hamilton on thw way home.

Dogs are welcome and must be on a leash on the trails (and arrange their own rides). There are no drop outs, please be prepared to hike the entire distance.

NO SHOWS: Hiking in the rain and snow doesn't bother me. If it's not for you please check the weather forecast the day before. If you can't make it please remove yourself from the event by the cutoff time. Anyone cancelling after that will receive an automatic No Show.

TTC: Subway does not start running until 9am on Sundays so you will need to check the night schedule to arrive at carpool on time.

Required Items to Bring:
Sturdy hiking boots, layered clothing appropriate for spring hiking, gaiters, extra socks
2 litres of water, lunch and trail snacks
