Itinerary:

At this presentation Dave and Kielyn of Lure of the North will be discussing how winter camping in the traditional sense has made them fall in love with winter and how they are hoping to share their passion and love with others. They will discuss traditional winter camping techniques and designs and their continued relevance today. Together we will explore what DIY philosophy and the impact of working with our hands has had on our appreciation and understanding of our cultural heritage. “Make it; Use it; Love It”.

Dave and Kielyn have travelled hundreds of killometers over the Ontario wilderness including their longest thus far being 40-days on the Kabinakagami River to Mammamatawa, an old HBC fort.

Dave and Kielyn's website is http://lureofthenorth.com/.

This presentation will be at Chalkers Pub, at 247 Marlee Avenue. We will be able to have a drink or dinner during the presentation - feel free come early if you'd like to order dinner, this will also be a great chance to catch up with TOC friends and meet new ones!
