Itinerary:
Saturday morning, we will carpool in the big smoke and drive the 3 1/2 hours to the park.

We will carry our equipment to the campsite at Captain's Gap. The hike is approx. 5km and less than 2 hours.

The campsite is isolated on a hiking loop with two lookouts, a natural sandy(ish) beach, and safe cliff jumping nearby. There will be boat traffic.
The hiking loop is 10km, and rated difficult by the park staff. I disagree.

We will return Monday afternoon, hopefully avoiding the weekend rush.

Given the expectation of excellent weather and short distances, beginners with absolutely no experience are welcome, even if you are short some equipment.

Required Items to Bring:
Pack a bag lunch for Saturday, and leave a snack in the car for yourself on Monday. We will plan a menu together, split the cost and weight of food.
Bring at least 2L of water in refillable bottles.
Tents will be needed. The platforms are large enough for a 6-man, or two 2-man tents.
As the hike is short, weight is not so much an issue in this case.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Swimsuit.
