PHOTO NIGHT AT THE ROM

Did you know you can take photos in the ROM?! It's open late on Friday, until 11 pm as part of the Friday Night Live @ROM. Walls are light up with spotlights and there's also yummy food and wine tasting in the foyer. Theme for May 11th is Photography + linked to the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. You will need a flash, a fast lens or a camera that allows for a high ISO setting. The ROM does not allow tripods or monopods at all, but you might be able to bring in a very small gorillapod.

It's quite crowded in the foyer so once you get in, take the elevators up to the top floor and we'll be starting out in the J.F. Driscoll Family Stair of Wonders. Check the map or as a security guard if you're not sure. Tickets are $9, if you arrive before 5:00 you can purchase a ticket and walk around the galleries until 5:30 but you will have to return to the foyer between 5:30 and 6pm. My cell phone will likely not work in the ROM, I don't have great coverage. If you are delayed or decide to go off on your own it will be up to you to find the group again.

PRIORITY: Priority will go to people using DSLRs or bridge cameras. Please include deets about your camera in the Notes if you want priority. To help make the waiting list fair to everyone I will also give priority to people who regularly show up when they sign up.

NO SHOWS: Due to the popularity of photo events, anyone cancelling within 24 hours of the start will receive an automatic no show
