Itinerary:

Bruce Trail - Niagara Section 16.2 km to 30.7 km main section + Bert Lowe Side Trail = total loop hike of approx 30 km

IMPORTANT NOTE: If our timing is right, we may stop and watch a ship or two go through the locks... and I mean...stop..(i.e. we will not be walking). That stop could be around 30 min or so, depending on what we're able to see.

This is an all day event. NO DROP OUTS. NO EARLY DEPARTURES from the event. ESTIMATED time for the return to carpool will be around 8 PM.
This is a LONG loop hike (6-7 hrs of hiking) that takes us around the third Welland Canal and around Lake Gilmore. While the hike is long on distance and does have some hills, the overall the terrain looks fairly flat (relative to other sections of the Bruce Trail). Please include in the notes section your level of experience in hiking such a distance.
Please ensure you can hike the distance at the specified pace before you sign up.
Pace: 4+ km/hr (average) . Pace will be faster or slower depening on terrain and the stops we make. We will hike as a group with frequent stops for photo ops. This means that there will be sections where we would hike faster to maintain the average pace of 4 km/hr.

We will be going rain or shine. Dress for the weather.
Please arrive at Kipling carpool 15 minutes early.
On route home, we'll stop at a coffee shop/restaurant for a quick refreshment/bite to eat and to finalize the carpool.
