PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

PHOTO NIGHT AT THE ROM


Did you know you can take photos in the ROM?! The ROM is open late on Friday, until 8:30 pm. We'll meet in the front entrance off Bloor St at 4:30 pm, when admission is discounted to $9, and wander into the galleries. The purpose of this event is to work on abstract composition, so you will need a flash, a fast lens or a camera that allows for a high ISO setting. The ROM does not allow tripods or monopods at all.

If you're not familiar with the Rule of Thirds or the Golden Ratio, check them out as they are basic aspects of composition. Shortly before the event I'll be emailing out some additional info and exercises for everyone to think about (or completely ignore, as you wish!) Afterwards we will go to a pub to compare shots and have some food.

Please note my cell phone will likely not work in the ROM, I don't have great coverage. If you wish to wander off on your own it will be up to you to find the group again.

LATECOMERS:If you can't make it for 4:30 pm I will come out to the entrance again, once only at 6pm to meet latecomers. Please include this info in the Notes section, otherwise you will receive a No Show. (Please do not email this info to me as with all the drop outs and sign ups on events it is too hard to keep track of!)

NO SHOWS: Due to the popularity of photo events, anyone cancelling within 24 hours of the start will receive an automatic no show

WAITING LIST: To help make the waiting list fair to everyone I will give priority to people who regularly show up when they sign up.
