Itinerary:

The Aberfolyle Antique Market is an historic (apparently, the first outdoor antique market in North America, certainly in Canada). I think it's a "cool" place to come if you like things of old, or not so old things, to look around, if nothing else. But, you never know what you can find!

The market is situated on 20 green acres and is an "eclectic collection of stalls, cabins and old barns is teeming with antiques, collectibles & nostalgic treasures. 100+ informed & friendly dealers in an atmosphere that's low key, zero pressure, friendly and always interesting". So be prepared to do some walking/strolling.

There is lots to look at and explore. So our plan is to arrive there by 9:30 and browse for about 2 to 3 hrs (depending on the level of the interest). With the early start, hopefully the air will be still cool and place not so crowded. We will then depart for home at around 12 PM arriving back at Kipling by 1 PM . Check out the Market website for delivery info if you'll be looking to buy anything big or bulky, as there will be very limited space in carpool vehicles to bring things back.

Bring your own snacks and water to maintain your energy on your 'hunt'. There is also a restaurant on site that offers short- order cooking (burgers/fries/ice cream/drinks, etc) for eating in or relaxing on the patio. Bring a book to read (or buy one there) if you think you'll be finished early (before everyone else)! Parking is not very far from the Market area so you be able to leave things in the car that you don't want to carry (with arrangement with your driver).

Sunglasses and sunscreen are also a must. If it's sunny as it's quite open and bright.

There is $2/adult admission that you'll have to pay on arrival. The parking is free. We'll go rain or shine. Please don't sign up if you're afraid of light sprinkle of rain. I will cancel/postpone the event if forecast calls for heavy rain and/or thunder.

The Event Coordinator has a small dog (golden doodle) that she may bring along. Leashed and well behaved dogs are permitted but spaces in the carpool will preferencially be given to people.

Please note the lack of subway service on Sunday morning. Please make alternate arrangements to get to Kipling as necessary ON TIME. Please arrive to Kipling by 8:20 so that we can sort out the carpool arrangements and depart as scheduled.
