Itinerary:

On this trip we will be bushwhacking (on snowshoes) from our access point along Crown Land towards Gordon Lake (north of Parry Sound).

We will travel between 7-10k/day (out and back) depending on the pace of the group. Participants should be able to bushwhack with a backpack at approx. 2k/hr in snow. The group will stay together at all times for safety reasons.

The coordinator reserves the right to add or remove participants based on experience.

Participants should have backpacking and winter backpacking experience.

We will travel to our access point Friday evening and camp there. Saturday morning we will set out for our backcountry camp and return Sunday to the cars.

As we will be on Crown Land no camping fees are required however the group will split the cost of shared food (dinner Saturday) and gas for the stoves in addition to the carpool fees.

Note the coordinator may have one of her dogs on this trip. Any participant wishing to bring their dog must speak to the coordinator first.
