Scotsdale and Silver Creek Area side trails (8/21/2010)

Itinerary:
We will leave from Downsview Station at 9am and drive to the parking lot at the base of the Great Esker Side Trail. We will hike this side trail, part of the main Bruce Trail as well as the Bennett Heritage Trail, crossing through Scotsdale Farm. We will hike along varied terrain, passing an ancient native village, as well as Scotsdale Farm. The length of this hike is approximately 13 km. We will cover about 3.5km per hour, and break for lunch. Members must wear hiking boots for this event.

Hiking boots, water, a hat, bug spray, sun screen, lunch
