Itinerary:
This is intended to be a low-stress end to the work-day event, at a gentle enough pace that can accommodate children who can ride at about 12 - 15 km/hr. Alternately, parents are welcome to bring children in a toddler bike seat, trailer or on a tandem style bike, as long as they can ride safely with their precious cargo as we travel in a group on the trails and in city traffic.

We will meet at 6:00 pm on the south-east corner of York and Queen's Quay and head off eastward along the Martin Goodman trail. Some road riding will be required.

We will arrive at Woodbine Beach about 40 minutes later, depending upon just how leisurely we cycle. We can enjoy our picnic as we survey the evening beach life and enjoy the view of the lake. I'll likely have a stash of homemade cookies to share and plan to bring a frisbee or ball to entertain any children.

By 8:30, we will start making our way back to the starting point. Alternately, people can go their own way from this point. Expect that we will be riding into the sunset and possibly not finishing until after dusk. Please be prepared with sunglasses as well as functioning bike lights and reflective gear.

Please note: We welcome children to join us for this event. However, there are a couple of TOC rules that we must observe. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the event. A separate paper waiver must be completed for each child at the beginning of the event.

If you are signing up for this trip, please copy the following questions into the notes section and answer each one.
1. Do you agree to wear a bicycle helmet?
2. Are you experienced, comfortable, and safe riding in traffic i.e. with automobiles?
3. Are you able to bring a spare tube for your bicycle?
4. Does your bicycle fit properly?
5. Is your bicycle in decent shape ie no rusty chain etc, working brakes?
6. Note that an additional waiver, to be provided at the event, needs to be signed for children.
