East Don Parkland Walk (2/20/2010)

Itinerary:
We will meet 10:00 am Leslie subway station, by the exit which is WEST of Leslie Street (there is another exit on the east side of Leslie Street). Then we will explore the northern section of East Don Valley Parkland, formally farmland but has been transformed into a valley wilderness park, providing excellent habitat for viewing wildlife and rare plant species. We will hike the portion between Sheppard Ave. and Finch Ave. with a round-trip distance of 6.3, and finish our walk in about 2 hours.

  • Comfortable shoes suitable for distance walking
  • water
  • Warm, layered clothing
