Itinerary:

It’s going to be a discovery walk in Toronto through the central ravines and belt line. It’s approx. 3-4 hours. The starting point is Eglinton West Subway Station (Allen Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W.). After leaving the station, we will walk north about 5 minutes to the Belt Line Linear Park. The trail crosses Yonge Street and passes Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Then we will enter a system of natural ravines (i.e., Moore Park Ravine) pass the Don Valley Brickworks, which lead to St. Clair Subway Station (St. Clair and Yonge, our end stop). You can see a map of our path at http://www.toronto.ca/parks/brochures/walks/DW_Central.pdf.

We will walk at a moderate pace. The trail consists of a combination of hard-packed and hard-paved surfaces. There are some steep slopes at the ravines so before we meet, make sure you have plenty of energy from your breakfast.

The ground will be wet, muddy and slippery with ice at this time of the year, please wear appropriate footwear for these conditions.
