Itinerary:
At 9:00 a.m., we will meet at the St. George/Bloor Subway Station, on the St. George St. side.

Starting from there, we will cycle via the Rosedale Valley Road and Bayview Avenue to the Don Valley Multi-Purpose Trail. We will take Route 45 all the way to Sunnybrook Park, from where we will exit onto Broadway Avenue and head west. Eventually, we will find ourselves travelling west on Roselawn Avenue, which we will take until we get to Keele St. On Keele St. we will go north a short distance, and then continue west in a zig-zagging fashion until we meet up with Eglinton Street, where we will continue heading west on the off-street bike path. We will go as far as we can on Eglinton, make a small detour for a stop at Tim Hortons on the Westway, and then head south on Martin Grove Road with the aim of making it down to the waterfront trail. Once at the waterfront, we will head east on the Waterfront Trail, and eventually find our way back to the St. George/Bloor Street subway station.

On this ride, we will be following mostly low-traffic streets through residential areas and medium-traffic roads.

This ride will be at an average speed of about 20 km per hour. Those who sign up must have experience cycling alongside automobiles on shared streets and roads. If you do not have such experience, you should not sign up for this ride.

Note: All participants in this event must ride with caution on city streets and obey all traffic lights and rules of the road.

This is a long, challenging one-day ride, and it is suitable only for those who have been riding their bikes frequently, and who have completed at least three or four 50 km single-day rides in the past two months.

Required Items to Bring:
Well-maintained bike and bike helmet (mandatory); bike lock; one spare tire tube, tire levers and air pump (in case of a flat tire); suitable clothing for riding in cooler temperatures--layers are good as you can always add or remove a layer; bike gloves, in these temperatures, are still a necessity; a neck-warmer is helpful if the temperature is cool and there is a wind.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Strongly recommended: Front and rear bike lights and a fluorescent vest, so that you will be visible while riding in traffic.
