Itinerary:

Do you want to be inspired? Our guest speaker has inspired me to go on some great canoeing and kayaking trips in Georgian Bay this past summer.

The Great Lakes are the largest body of fresh water on the planet, holding 20% of the Earth’s and 95% of North America’s supply. Join me in welcoming outdoor enthusiast, author and photographer Kas Stone for an exploration of the Great Lakes watershed. Learn how the lakes were formed and meet the plants, animals and people that make their home in this unique environment. Celebrate the landscape and discover some amazing places for outdoor adventure along the Great Lakes shore.

Kas is a photographer and author of two popular Paddling and Hiking guidebooks. When she isn’t out on the trail or in her canoe, she teaches photography and digital imaging techniques in the GTA. She shares her enthusiasm for Ontario’s wild landscapes in magazine articles, photo exhibitions and slide show presentations like this one for the Toronto Outdoors Club. You can visit her at www.kasstone.ca.

Kas has lived in many places across eastern Canada, and is based currently in the Toronto area. Her house is cluttered with rocks and her walls with topographic maps, her garage is full of canoes and snowshoes, and her family is weighted heavily in favour of dogs and cats.

If you hike, canoe or kayak you don’t want to miss this event! See you there and get ready to be motivated.
