Itinerary:
The Toronto Orienteering Club is starting a new series of Sport Orienteering races held in Toronto area parks. This one is at the Claireville Conservation Area in Southeast Brampton. All the relevant info can be found here.

Basically, you are provided a topographic map with marked control locations, a timing chip, and may rent or borrow a compass. You must visit the control locations in order, but the route is up to you. It is highly competitive.

There are three courses for three difficulties. The beginners course may be walked, the controls are easier to find, and it is only 2-3km in length. The sport course will be approximately 5km. The adventure course will have difficult to locate controls and will be 7 to 8km in length.

The cost is $30 until July 13th. Please register here.

This should take us to around noon. So after that who knows, maybe a round of frisbee will break out.
