This out and back hike is in the Wilderness Section of the Ganaraska Trail. The Ganaraska wilderness is noted for the untamed nature of the trail (it is not unusual in the wilderness section for trail markers to be vandalized and moved).

We will be heading to the Devil's Lake Access point and will aim to hike out 12k, trail conditions permitting. Along the way, we will traverse the forest, ravines, beaver dams and lakes. If we're lucky, we may see signs of bears, wolves, foxes, or actually see rare five-lined skinks. Note that there will be some some scrambling and beaver dam crossings; hikers must be prepared for wet feet!

Participants must be able to hike at a minimum 4k/hr pace.
