Midweek Winter Walk: Central Ravines (2/4/2009)

Itinerary:
This is a great opportunity to practice/develop your night vision skills in a winter environment and explore one of the most beautiful ravines in Toronto.

We will meet in front of St. Clair subway station (south walk-side of St. Clair Av E). We will be following the loop in the Central Ravines Discovery Walk:

1) Enter into the Vale of Avoca Ravine from St. Clair and turn north
2) Cross Mount Pleasant Cementery
3) Follow the trail south through Moor Park Ravine
4) Pass Don Valley Brickworks (and old Brick factory)
5) Follow the trail north throught Vale of Avoca Ravine
6) Arrive back to St. Clair subway station

The expected walking speed will be 3km/hr (we will NOT be running, but it is not a slow walk).

We are expected to walk over snow and/or ice (Winter boots are mandatory).

It is winter, please dress in layers

  • Winter hiking boots
  • Active WINTER layered clothes

How to Get There:
Event Directions:St Clair subway station is located at Yonge & St. Clair. We will meet in front of the station, south side of St. Clair Av E, besides the Mc Donalds.
