Itinerary:
We'll be meeting at the Revue Cinema located at 400 Roncesvalles Avenue, three blocks south of the intersection of Bloor and Dundas Street West.

The Revue is proud to present a free community screening Wednesday November the 12th at 7:00pm. Presented by Sky Works Charitable Foundation, Home Safe Calgary is the first of four films in the Sky Works Home Safe Project, which will show Canadians the profound impact of poverty and homelessness. Each film will feature children and their families who have lived the experience. They will tell their stories firsthand and suggest ways to end homelessness in their city and the country.

The Calgary installment is a cautionary tale for all Canadians. It reveals the dramatic contrast between the promise of a booming economy and the vulnerability of those who have sought an economic place in it. Producer-director Laura Sky led the project with Street Nurse, advocate and author Cathy Crowe, the film’s executive producer. According to Crowe, “Home Safe Calgary will remind Canadians why a national housing program is as vital to the health of families and children as our much-loved Medicare program.” The film makers will be in attendance, and a Q & A will follow the film.

UPDATE - Shannon gracefully agreed to help check people in and she'll be at the cinema before the movie starts. Check in with her when you arrive please.
